The cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niterói will welcome officials from the Panam Sports Evaluation Commission, the highest authority for Olympic sports in the Americas, from Wednesday, October 1st, that will conduct a technical visit to evaluate the bid for the 2031 Pan American Games until next Friday, October 3.
According to the schedule, the commission members, led by Panam Sports President Neven Ilic and Secretary General Jimena Saldaña, will visit facilities in the five regions planned for the 2031 Games and learn details of the joint bid by Rio and Niterói.
The host city/cities for the 2031 Pan American Games will be known on the October 10th in Santiago, Chile. The Rio-Niterói bid is competing with that of Asunción (Paraguay).
